About Life at Breamchurch
"We are a welcoming and friendly Church, enthusiastic about God, our faith and other people"
10.30am Family Service
Sunday Morning Family Worship is our main Service. This is lively, well-attended (about 80 plus), informal and welcoming. We use a mix of modern and older songs. The Preaching team share in leading and speaking. Most people remain for tea, coffee and chat afterwards. Most of the worship is from and informal / New Wine genre, with an addition of a more traditional hymn used most Sundays. We are seek the presence of The Holy Spirit, and look for our worship to be Spirit-led. The service begins at 10.30am and we expect it to finish by 12.00pm.
6pm Evening Service
Traditionally this service has been aimed at young people, with a number of adults enjoying its simplicity and style. We have always had a youth band and a variety of speakers. Since Covid19 has created a bit of an earthquake in this service we now only meet on the third Sunday of the month, but there is also a fortnightly Bible-Study to which all are welcome. Contact Sergio and Cheri, our Youth guys.
Our Congregation are a mix of people from many traditions and backgrounds. We have an open and innovative approach to being Church and are eager to meet the needs of a diverse congregation with a wide age-range and a mix of backgrounds.
Bream Church Children's Work
Children are at the heart of St James. We welcome all children to come and join us to learn more about God and His love and His purpose for each of us while having fun and exploring God's word. We want to enable children of all ages to connect with God and know the love of Jesus.
The creche is available throughout the service for babies and toddlers and is located at the back of the church. Sunday School takes place up at the centre. Children are walked up during the service by the leaders that morning and parents collect them after the service.
“All your children will be taught by the Lord, and great will be their peace.”
Currently we do not meet on a Sunday morning with our youth but they are of course welcome to join us for the morning service!
We are passionate about seeing our young people connect with Jesus. We believe that God wants to connect with them and be apart of their every day lives! Our hope is that with the various events/meetings throughout the month there is something for everyone and that when we meet together relationships with God will be deepened.
Presently due to studies and work commitments we meet on a weekly basis for a range of activities.
