Welcome to our Morning Service

July 5th 2020

Morning Everyone. As usual here is the isingpop session that we are recommending for this week
Here are a couple of songs before we begin our service.
Please watch the welcome video below.
Now lets worship together with these songs

Let’s take a moment to allow God to show us where we have not lived up to his standards and expectations. Let’s pray in our own hearts and then we will join together in the prayer of confession.

Lord God,
we have sinned against you;
we have done evil in your sight.
We are sorry and repent.
Have mercy on us according to your love.
Wash away our wrongdoing and cleanse us from our sin.
Renew a right spirit within us
and restore us to the joy of your salvation,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

May the Father of all mercies
cleanse us from our sins,
and restore us in his image
to the praise and glory of his name,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Hannah is now going to speak to us.

Lets join in this song as our response.
Prayers led this week by Rhys

Lord God Heavenly Father we come before you with thanks for your love and blessings, and as we give you thanks and praise we bring to you those people and situations that are on our hearts, asking that in your grace, mercy and love that you hear and respond to our prayers as we know you always will.
Lord, in your mercy,    hear our prayer.

Lord we continue to intercede on behalf of all those people and nations throughout the world who have been, and are being, affected by the coronavirus pandemic. We pray for governments and leaders that they make the right decisions to help their people. We pray for comfort and peace for the relatives of those who have died from the virus and we ask for healing for those who are sick.
Lord, in your mercy,    hear our prayer.

We pray into the circumstances that have arisen due to the coronavirus. We pray for those who have lost jobs and livelihoods. We pray against the fear and the despair and that people will look to you for help and comfort at this time.
We also remember that suffering remains in other areas of life and we lift to you Lord those throughout the world who affected by conflict, persecution, homelessness, hunger and fear. We particularly pray for the situation in Yemen at this time, praying for peace and an end to the suffering and conflict there.
Lord, in your mercy,    hear our prayer.

Lord we pray for our nation and remember Elizabeth our queen, the government, especially the Prime Minister as he leads the country through these difficult times. We pray that he will be aware of your presence and prompting and will look to you for wisdom. We pray Lord that those in leadership make decisions that reflect your mercy, your values and your compassion. We pray at this time that you would heal the divisions in our land by a move of the Holy Spirit in power. Lord heal our land.
Lord, in your mercy,    hear our prayer.

We pray for your church throughout the world. We remember those who are persecuted and suffering for their faith in you. We pray that you will be with them and that they will know your presence, peace and love.
We pray for the church in our land and thank you dear Lord for the move of the spirit that has happened during the time of the lockdown. We pray Lord for a new awareness of your love and majesty.
We pray for our bishops Rachel and Robert and all the churches across the Forest. We pray today for Teens in Crisis, asking that you bless the work that they do.
Lord, in your mercy,    hear our prayer.

Lord we lift up to you those known to us who need your healing touch, whether it is healing for body, mind or spirit. Bless them Lord in your mercy and love and may they know the healing presence of the Holy Spirit. We remember those who have lost loved ones and ask for your grace and peace for those in need.
Let us take a few moments to bring those on our hearts to the Lord……………
Lord, in your mercy,    hear our prayer.

Let us bring our prayers together using the words our Lord Jesus taught the disciples.
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are yours
now and for ever.

And now our final song

Eternal God and Father,
by whose power we are created and by whose love we are redeemed:
guide and strengthen us by your Spirit,
that we may give ourselves to your service,
and live this day in love to one another and to you;
through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord. Amen.
