Welcome to our Morning Service

June 21st 2020

Good Morning Everyone!
Before the service, below is this weeks session for our children (slightly out of the original order)
In preparing for the service, here are a couple of songs that you may find helpful
Please watch the welcome video below.
Now lets worship together with these songs

Let’s take a moment or two to allow God to show us where we have not lived up to his standards and expectations. Let’s pray in our own hearts and then we will join together in the prayer of confession.

Lord our God,
in our sin we have avoided your call.
Our love for you is like a morning cloud,
like the dew that goes away early.
Have mercy on us;
deliver us from judgement;
bind up our wounds and revive us;
in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

May God who loved the world so much
that he sent his Son to be our Saviour
forgive us our sins
and make us holy to serve him in the world,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
All   Amen.

Collect for the Second Sunday after Trinity

Lord, you have taught us
that all our doings without love are nothing worth:
send your Holy Spirit
and pour into our hearts that most excellent gift of love,
the true bond of peace and of all virtues,
without which whoever lives is counted dead before you.
Grant this for your only Son Jesus Christ’s sake,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever. Amen

The readings used in todays talk are quite short: Galatians 4: 4-7, Romans 8:38-39 and Isaiah 31: 4-5
Here is the Galatians passage:  4 But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship.[b] 6 Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, ‘Abba,[c] Father.’ 7 So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.

Chris is now going to speak to us:

Clive and Tracy will now lead us in a song as we respond
Chris will now lead us in prayer

And now our final song

Let’s pray:

In darkness and in light,

in trouble and in joy,

help us, heavenly Father,

to trust your love,

to serve your purpose,

and to praise your name;

through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

God the Father,

who has given to his Son the name above every name,

strengthen you to proclaim Christ as Lord;

and the blessing of God the All-Mighty, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit be with us all, evermore. Amen.
